Race Weekly – 2nd-8th October 2023

This weeks races were raced in warm conditions for October in the UK with highs of 24 °C in London on the weekend. As we add more races to the site we hope to be able to report on a wider range of ultra races across the UK.

Tuesday 3rd October

The Caterpillar Challenge 6hr Timed event got underway with 32 starters, with Alice Robinson completing 10 x 3.3m laps. Mary Reeves and Steve Hunt were close behind in 2nd and 3rd respectively covering 9 laps each. See full results here.

Saturday 7th October

Both the North Coast 110mile, 110km and the Exmoor Coast 55km races kicked off on Saturday, we await to update you with the results.

Atlantic Coast Ultra (40 miler) results are still pending, we’ll update this page as soon as we can

Rowbotham’s Round Rotherham 50 mile Trail Race (40th Anniversary) had a great turn out with 195 solos competitors starting the race and a total of 175 managing to get round on a warmer, drier course than past years. Rory Harris took first place and first male with a fantastic time of 6hrs 52mins and Lisa Wallbridge took 1st lady and 5th overall with a time of 8hrs 38mins. One Stop Ultra attended this fantastically run event on it’s 40th anniversary and managed to get back just as the light was fading for a well deserved hotdog! See full results here.

Glasgow to Edinburgh Ultra 56 had 363 brave souls running across Scotland with Jarlath McKenna taking 1st male and 1st overall with a time of 6hrs 51mins and Emily Newton taking 1st female and 6th overall with a time of 8hrs 1min. See full results here.

Sunday 8th October

Hamsterley Forest Running Festival 32 mile race was this Sunday, we still are waiting to update the results.
