Race Weekly – 23rd-29th October 2023

A bit of a mixed bag of weather over the weekend, although the extra hour in bed was a nice touch on Sunday (Winter’s Coming!).

Saturday 23rd October

The Track 100 from Cockbain Events got underway this weekend with a cheeky incentive to get a 100 miles done in under 24 hours with the clocks going back on Sunday morning. Alex Marshall took 1st overall and 1st female with a time of 16 hours and 5 minutes and Kevin. Brocklehurst took 1st male with a time of 16 hours and 31 minutes.  Just shows these track days are touch physically and mentally with a 46% finisher rate (18 finishers vs. 39 starters), Full results from Timing Monkey can be found here.

The Endurance Life Coastal Trail Series – North York Moors 34 mile had a good turnout with 65 starters and 49 finishers. The provisional results have Scarlet Dale 1st overall and 1st female in a time of 4 hours 35 minutes and Local Hardmoors legend Anthony Gerundini taking 1st male (4th overall) with a time of 5 hours and 33 minutes. Sunday 24th October

The Stort 30 looked a competitive race between the 1st overall position with Fumiaki Imamura taking 1st overall and 1st male with a time of 4 hours and closely followed by 2nd place and 1st female Karen Pickering in 4 hours 2 minutes. The race concluded with 64/67 finishing the race, some great results which can be found here.

Unfortunately Rasselbocks Pierrepont Plod – Autumn had to be postponed due to flooding around the course. See there website for details.
