One of our core elements of the website is having a race calendar that contains most if not all of the upcoming ultra running events across the UK and surrounding islands. We felt very passionate about this element of the site as it was a shared frustration to not being aware of races across the UK.
This first edition of our Race Calendar allows the user to:
- Visually see where all 600+ races are via the MAP VIEW section
- Filter on the distance, month, region, elevation and if the race qualifies your for other races (UMTB Index, ITRA points etc.).
- Each race selected gives you a brief overview of the race, date, start time, price
- Link to the race website to save you searching for the entry details
- Members of the site can add missing races to the site (currently limited to testing pool of members)
Our testing pool of ultra runners have already fond this very useful and some have even booked races in there region they were previously unaware of. Hope this update helps you find your next race and any missing races or errors please let us know via email here.
Next update focus: populating our various article sections, finalising our newcomer training plans and some small tweaks to the user interface.
