Phoenix Five in Five Run Series

This is the entry for the Five in Five (FiFi) race series.

Our Five in Five (FiFi) is back folks!

In 2021 and 2022 we held a five runs in five days race series during our annual ten in ten race series and in 2024 FiFi has returned! This event is absolutely perfect for anyone thinking of building up to a 10in10 or 12in12 and as this event is held during our annual 12in12 you’ll get to experience the true buzz, excitement and atmosphere of a wonderful multi-day running event.

As the name(s) suggests this is a series of 5 consecutive running events held over 5 consecutive days where you choose – from 5km to 10k, half to marathon to ultra, you can complete as many, or as few, laps as you like each day. The laps will be based around our standard 5.3km, 3.28 mile, out and back, series of routes along the beautiful River Thames and are held on UKA/IAAF measured and certified routes. The runs are 5, 6 or 7 hour timed events dependant on distance entered. We also offer super-early 6.15am starts so you can get almost 9 hours of running if you take advantage of these and we welcome absolutely all abilities of runner – complete one lap on any day and you’re both a finisher for that day and a winner in our eyes, or keep going and see how far you can go in the full time limit. Then come back and do it all over again and again and again.

As mentioned above, the Five in Five will happen at the same time as the Phoenix Ten in Ten & Twelve in Twelve so the atmosphere should be amazing. The 2024 series will be based from our Thames Path location in Walton on Thames (postcode KT12 2JB) with the Weir Pub right on the start finish line and there are plenty of accommodation options nearby. We use two routes from this location for the FiFi, TiT & TweT and we plan to alternate the route day-to-day to mix things up a bit. Our aid station or ‘tuck shop’ is famous for all its sweet and savoury goodies and CAKE and it will be back in full force in 2024 so you won’t go hungry!

Well, as we hope you’ve come to expect from us, we’re going to be offering some amazing medals. For those looking to complete all 5 days we’ve got a beautiful set of Phoenix ‘Dragon Key’ medals. These are, of course, our usual BIG and bold bling (goes without saying really that we wouldn’t compromise on the bling) and this time they’re 3D and double sided. Each day you get a different coloured Dragon Key representing a different part of your 5in5 personal running journey to unlock the secret multiday runner within you….
