Ultra X Wales is a multi-stage ultra-marathon that takes place over two days around southern Snowdonia in western Wales. It offers two races; Ultra X 110 Wales and Ultra X 50 Wales.
The 110 event is a two-stage race taking place on Saturday and Sunday, whilst the 50 event is a single-stage race taking place on the Sunday, following the same route but starting 1 hours later. Snowdonia National Park was established in 1951 as the third national park in Britain and it contains the highest peaks in the United Kingdom outside of Scotland.
The course takes participants on looped courses starting and finishing in the event campsite, following a number of famous trails and stunning ridgelines, bagging several of the highest peaks in South Snowdonia.
Ultra X Wales’ races are both UTMB® Index Races, in the 100k and 50k categories respectively. Both races are held under full UK Athletics permit granted through the TRA (permit numbers 5276 and 5278).
