The event follows the Wychavon Way which runs the length of Worcestershire covering 40 miles from the town of Droitwich Spa to Broadway, the route follows canals/rivers and the undulating meadows of Worcestershire with 1 significate climb up Bredon Hill with great views over the vale of Evesham.
The Wychavon Way was created in 1977 for the Queens Silver Jubilee. In 2012, in a joint partnership between Wychavon and Worcestershire county councils, £25,000 was spent re-waymarking and re-launching the national trail. The route has been changed to remain entirely within Worcestershire. The councils hoped to attract more than £250k in benefits to the local economy by users of the footpath over the next 10 years. By organising this event, we are hoping to help them realise that as well as introduce you to a new area for our events.
